DVLA renegotiates SLAs to save $50 million annually - CEO reveals major cost cuts

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) says renegotiated service-level agreements could save the state approximately US$50 million annually. Speaking at the Government Accountability Series, DVLA CEO Julius Neequaye Kotey disclosed that the cost of agreements linked to roadworthiness certificates had been reduced from a projected US$155.4 million over three years to GH¢2 million for the 2026–2028 period. The announcement forms part of wider efforts to reduce expenditure, improve revenue mobilisation and strengthen financial accountability at the Authority. #JoyNewsToday
