Why Asogli chiefs are organising overnight cleansing and purification rituals in Ho

The Asogli State Council has also dismissed reports suggesting that members of the public will be prevented from travelling to Ho or remaining in the township while the rituals are being performed.“For the avoidance of doubt, the rituals are traditional cleansing and purification rites being performed by the chiefs and elders of Ho in response to the recent unfortunate spate of road accidents in the township, which has resulted in the loss of lives and property,” it stated.
The Council, however, called on residents, ors and members of the public to conduct themselves in a manner that respects the traditional exercise.
