Two remanded over alleged GH¢932,040 fuel theft, arson

According to a report on August 20, 2026, the accused persons, Alhassan Amidu, a driver and Francis Owusu, a driver’s mate, allegedly planned to sell off the fuel and set the tanker on fire afterwards and make the incident look like an accident.

According to the prosecution, during the journey, the accused persons allegedly diverted the fuel for sale and set the tanker on fire on the section of the road between Kawakpe and Gurupe.
