Tsekpor, Dafeamekpor call for support as floods hit Hohoe

The appeal follows the overflow of the River Dayi after torrential rainfall Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpor, and the Member of Parliament for South Dayi and Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, have appealed for urgent support for more than 4,000 residents displaced by flooding in the Hohoe Municipality of the Volta Region.
The MP assured affected residents that relief assistance would be provided within the next three days, while urging them to remain calm and prioritise their safety as the water level continued to rise.
Kumagah said the temporary measures were being implemented while the Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, the Municipal Chief Executive, Prosper Kumi, Tsekpor and NADMO continued assessing the situation to determine a comprehensive relief package for the victims.
