Travel and tour agent remanded over GH¢107,000 recruitment scam 

The prosecution, led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Raymond Ackom, said the accused was a resident of Weija SCC, Accra, while the complainant was a civil servant residing in the Bono Region.

In 2026, the complainant allegedly made additional payments totalling GH¢20,000 through the accused’s Mobile Money wallet and two rural bank accounts for two slots in the GPS.

The prosecution said the accused later demanded an additional GH¢5,000 to facilitate the transfer of the complainant’s son, who was allegedly in the second batch of GAF recruits, to the first batch.
