Police arrest 25-year-old man over attempted armed robbery in Ashanti Region

The police later received information that one of the suspected robbers had reported to a medical facility for treatment after sustaining a gunshot injury.

He was found to have suffered a gunshot wound to the left side of his buttock and is currently receiving medical treatment under police guard.

According to the Nkawie Divisional Police Command, its operations patrol team received information at about 11pm that an armed robbery was underway along the Hiakose-Newense road.
