PAOG closes Hajj 2027 payments to prevent oversubscription

REUTERS/Ahmed Jadallah The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced the immediate closure of payments for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage to prevent oversubscription and ensure effective management of the exercise.
The PAOG also cautioned the public to be wary of individuals who claimed to have opportunities for participation in the current Hajj pilgrimage.
The statement said closing payments at this stage would enable the PAOG to align the number of confirmed pilgrims with the approved quota for the pilgrimage.
