Mining firm inaugurates 2 health facilities for Obuasi residents

Mr Pobee underscored AngloGold Ashanti’s commitment to local content and enterprise development, commending the Kenzad Construction Limited, contractors for the Apitikooko Health Centre and Staff Quarters and Crisspan Construction, who worked on the Dokyiwa/Binsere Health Centre, for the good work done.

The facilities were the Apitikooko Health Centre and staff quarters and the Dokyiwa/Binsere Health Centre, delivered under the Mine’s 10-Year Socio-Economic Development Plan (SEDP).

Health director The Ashanti Regional Director of Health Services, Dr Fred Adomako Boateng, described the facilities as a major boost to primary healthcare and reaffirmed the Ghana Health Service’s commitment to ensuring they were adequately staffed and efficiently managed to provide quality healthcare services.
