Major underground drainage works to begin on Dr Busia Highway on September 7

“Beginning 7th September, 2026, works will commence on the construction of a double-cell underground rectangular stormwater drain from Pamprom Junction to First Light Junction along the Dr Busia Highway within the Kaneshie enclave,” he said.

The Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) Project will begin constructing a major underground stormwater drain along the Dr Busia Highway in Accra on September 7.

One end of the new drainage system will connect to the recently completed section within the Accra Academy campus, while the other will link to the drain at Pamprom Junction.
