The constituency election was originally scheduled for Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Kumasi Cultural Centre but was cancelled after about seven heavily built men stormed the venue and disrupted the process.
The election, which was heavily secured by armed police following violence that disrupted the initial poll, saw Atta secure 714 votes, representing 72.
