Investing in jobs, livelihoods critical to sustaining peace – Omanhene

24, GNA – Baffour Owusu Bediako, Omanhene of the Domeabra Traditional Area, has called for increased investment in job creation, sustainable agriculture, education and entrepreneurship to promote peace and prevent young people from engaging in violence.
He said economic hardship and limited access to opportunities could create conditions that made frustrated young people vulnerable to activities that threatened peace and stability in communities.
He said economic empowerment could also reduce the vulnerability of young people to manipulation by politicians or traditional leaders to engage in violent activities.
