‘I nullified it’ - Former NPP Acting Chairman rejects amendment making flagbearer party leader

Former Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dankwa Smith Butey, has claimed that he nullified an amendment approved at the party’s recent National Delegates Conference that sought to make the flagbearer the leader of the party instead of the chairman.
Chairman Butey additionally noted that he had filed a motion at the court challenging the amendment that sought to make the party’s flagbearer its leader.
According to him, during the delegates’ conference, he did not initiate any amendment to make Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the leader instead of the chairman, insisting that he rejected the amendment.
