Government reviews diesel subsidy as transport fare increase takes effect

The government is reviewing its diesel subsidy as the new 8% increase in public transport fares takes effect.
Mr Ofosu said the government remains committed to cushioning Ghanaians from the effects of rising diesel prices.“So once the pricing window, the last pricing window has come to an end, and a new one is coming, the same review is going to be carried out, and based on the projections that are made, based on the evidence available, appropriate responses will be fashioned out,” he said.
