Dr Thomas Oertle is new Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Benin and Togo 

The statement said Switzerland had long-standing and diverse relations with Ghana, Benin and Togo, covering political dialogue, trade and investment, economic cooperation, climate action, peace and security, as well as growing exchanges between people and institutions.

His appointment follows the completion of the four-year diplomatic tour of Switzerland’s former Ambassador to Ghana, Ms Simone Giger, whose tenure saw strengthened cooperation between Ghana and Switzerland in governance, trade and investment, climate action, peace and security, and sustainable development.

Dr Thomas Oertle has been appointed Ambassador-designate of Switzerland to Ghana, Benin and Togo, bringing extensive diplomatic and international cooperation experience to the three-country assignment.
