Bekwai MP visits municipal hospital, inspects progress of work on KNUST Medical School project

Management, led by Medical Superintendent Dr Serebour, used the opportunity to outline key challenges confronting the hospital following its elevation to secondary-level status.
The MP was briefed on the project, which, according to management, has received support from VALCO and is expected to transform the hospital into a teaching and training hub for future doctors while bringing specialist consultants closer to residents of Bekwai.
Addressing staff, Poku-Adusei commended the dedication and sacrifices of health professionals, particularly their efforts in steering the facility’s transition from a primary healthcare facility to a secondary-level hospital accredited by the Health Facilities Regulatory Agency (HeFRA).
