Approved vaccine to be rolled out in Upper West next week-GHS

Photo credit: PAHO The Ghana Health Service (GHS) will begin a yellow fever vaccination exercise in three districts in the Upper West Region next week following the approval of a vaccine, Director of Public Health Dr Franklin Asiedu-Bekoe has announced.
With vaccination expected to begin next week in Sissala East, Sissala West and Wa West, health authorities are working to strengthen the response to yellow fever in the Upper West Region.
However, the Ministry of Health has since announced a yellow fever outbreak in parts of the Upper West Region following laboratory confirmation of three cases, all of which resulted in deaths.
