Akan MP to support 650 SHS freshers with mattresses, chop boxes

03, GNA – Mr Yao Gomado, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Akan Constituency, has announced plans to provide 650 mattresses and chop boxes to 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates from the constituency, who will gain admissions to Senior High Schools (SHSs).
The MP said his interventions in education, including the introduction of special mock examinations and the provision of mathematical sets for BECE candidates, had contributed to improvements in the constituency’s educational outcomes.
Mr Gomado said he would continue to support education in the constituency, stressing that education remained the foundation for human capital development and the socio-economic transformation of communities.
