Ghanaian content creator Adobea has apologised to the public following intense criticism over a viral video in which she appeared to be drinking from a bottle believed to contain an alcoholic beverage.

Some social media users argued that, regardless of whether the bottle contained alcohol or water, portraying the consumption of a branded alcoholic beverage could send the wrong message to young viewers.

The content creator subsequently expressed regret over the incident and rendered an apology to the general public.
